What is the purpose of this website? Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior is dedicated to helping those who suffer with Rheumatoid Arthritis to fight this fierce disease with a fierceness of their own. Our weapons are humor, inspiration, networking, and teaching: HINT.
Humor
Laughter is a powerful medicine biologically because it stimulates the production of endorphins. It is also a potent weapon relationally against a disease with the capability to be destructive in every part of our lives. Attitude is crucial when fighting chronic pain and disability.
Inspiration
It takes a continual supply of courage to fight an incurable disease because the battle can seem futile and endless. Even brave hearts can be subdued. When hope falters, we can rekindle one another’s will to fight because of the empathy we have for our fellow warriors.
Networking
Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior attempts to promote and assist interactions with fellow RA patients because fellow patients are best equipped to help one another find a way through the constantly shifting maze of treatments, tests, and trials with which we struggle daily.
Teaching
Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior seeks to serve RA patients, their families, and care givers by promoting accurate and up to date information about RA and its complicated web of related problems.
