About Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior: News Flare, Part 2

Because News Flare is more appropriate than News Flash

Here’s a little peek from my side of the blog… Lately, it’s getting more difficult for me find a particular post when I use the Archives gadget down in the sidebar. It works just fine – it’s just that there are so many posts! I clicked on the little arrows to open it up the other day and realized that there are 12 months listed – almost one year!

Some other milestones passed recently that I was too busy to celebrate. The Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior blog has over 200 Google Friends, over 2,000 Facebook fans, and 1,000 Twitter followers! Yep, I just checked to see if it’s really true and it is. Any visitor can see from the comments what strong and brave warriors they are, too.

Sometimes there have been growing pains along the way – it’s usually my brain hurting from trying to figure out how to manage all the code involved in the blog. Often one cool little gadget means 20 hours of head scratching for me – thank God for my talented daughter. This week, we’ve been working on the layout of comments, giving them their own pages. There’s just some minor positioning left to finish.

A little more news about Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior

You have not missed the newsletter. It’s been on hold since I decided that the Newly Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis Mall Map and the Do I have RA? page had to be done first. I get as much as I can into every day and we will have fun with the newsletter about RA Warrior soon – I hope. Go ahead and click on the brown newsletter button to sign up and I’ll get you on the list.

There will be some different ads on the blog soon. The opportunities are exciting and may help to open doors for our cause. The blog has expenses that are still covered out of my own pocket. Anyone interested in purchasing advertising or donating to the blog can click here to see that page or check the menu under Advertise.

For the next couple of weeks, the RA Warrior blog is glad to have this little ad for a worthwhile cause. Look just below this post. It’s a survey about working with a chronic illness. You can earn an Amazon gift card by participating. The RA Warrior blog has no connection with the survey itself, but was paid a nominal fee to create the ad.

For a fun trip down memory lane, check out the last News Flare post about the blog from about four months ago: About Rheumatoid Arthritis Warrior: News Flare, Part 1.

Yes, either Pacman or battery acid. Pacman sounds much better to tell a litle one. :shout:

I did the survey and like the anonymity. Thanks for posting the ad.

Keep up the great work! I have come to rely one this site an awful lot. I know you put a tremendous amount of time into it. If there is anything that I can do to help, please feel free to let me know. I am pretty good at research and I can still type pretty well.

    Thanks again!
