Hi Ms RAW,
I’ve been dealing with RA for 11 years now. I’ve just got juiced recently (Orencia) and feel not much different than usual, 6-8+/10 pain scale, been on Orencia for over a year.
I don’t complain about my pain unless asked and then I minimize it to people, my kids and girlfriend know the truth and others figure it out when they see the me trying to open a car door with two hands and my elbow sometimes. I can feel rain starting in the Amazon forest from Mass.
My Rheum told me there’s another IV RA drug slated to come out in the spring for those who are seeing diminished results from current therapies.
I always tell myself there’s someone worse off when “those days” hit.
Like the site!
Sincerely,
Bob
Bob, you are so funny. Love the “juiced” thing – I live in Florida so we think it sounds like Valencia (a popular variety of orange).
Love the Rainforest thing too… I appreciate your hopeful & fun comments.
Sorry you hurt so bad. Why do we have to hide it as if its something of which to be ashamed? I do know what you mean; I’m just wondering out loud… Almost everyone tells me that.
Congratulations on being published on HCP. You wrote a very good article – I sure hope it makes a difference in what doctors recognize as possible early RA symptoms!
Warm,
Thanks much for noticing (& reading!) my article. I was very pleased at the opportunity. Part of my long-term goal has been to begin to influence the way GP’s view patients regarding RA.
Hey Kelly, did you happen to see the news today, they pretty much feel they have cured Sickle Cell in Adults ) another autoiummne diease ( with stem cell…. I sure wish they would test that on RA patients, thought you might find it interesting http://health.msn.com/health-topics/articlepage.aspx?cp-documentid=100250454
CONGRATS on being published in HCP! I am so proud of you!! Also, have you heard the new info on Chicken cartilage? I don’t know if it is going to be like those other “all natural cures” that pour your money down the drain. Also, I started taking Limbrel 500 which is a medical food product for OA but apparently doesnt have the side effects GI wise that NSAIDS have which caused my ulcer. Some people get gassy and the runs from it but so far none of that for me. I don’t notice a diff in pain or flexibility but then again we have been in a snow storm for two days and now heading to negative 30 tonight so the fact that I am not crying from pain I suppose is a feat. Anywho just passing along the newest info I have come up with. Sending my love to you and your family. Congrats again, I am so proud of you and all of your accomplishments. Best of luck on your blog surgery. I know someone who may be able to help, I will contact him and see if he would like to “do a favor” he builds computers and can do anything computer related. He is brilliant with the computers.
oh and you are HOT in jeans …sizzle

Great article on HCP! I want to print it out and send it to my GP who ignored my early symptoms.
Thanks, Ronda. I know the feeling. 😕
